Our eucalyptus material supports the body's natural thermal regulation due to its exceptional breathability. It helps you being too hot and instead keeps you cosy and cool all through the night.
Night sweats are the nocturnal version of hot flushes and affect up to 75% of all peri and menopausal women. Our eucalyptus lyocell bedding can help you regulate your body temperature and will also wick away any moisture, leaving you drier and calmer through the night.
Simply put, our silk-like sheets and pillows create less friction than cotton meaning less pull on your hair, making your hair less likely to break.
Our luxuriously smooth fibres are as soft as silk. Meaning in addition to extreme comfort, they are kind to sensitive skin, don’t absorb your naturally produced skin-protecting nutrients.
Because of the moisture management properties of eucalyptus, the absence of moisture on the surface means that bacteria and other allergens cannot grow and gather next to your skin. This means less odours, dust mites and other allergens.
Our eucalyptus fibres are structured to regulate the release and absorption of moisture, even on the most humid or sweaty of nights. Designed to keep you cool, comfortable and dry.
Our 100% Tencel sheets are soft as silk, temperature regulate, wick moisture and are hypoallergenic. Whether it’s mid-winter or in the dog days of summer, we have you covered. Read more about how our bedding facilitates a good night’s sleep.
Our core material is Tencel. Made from certified sustainable wood fibres, specifically a blend of FSC® Certified (FSC-C041246) and PEFC Certified (PEFC/06-33-92) eucalyptus and birch trees. Tencel is low carbon and uses significantly less water than cotton production, whilst having amazing properties to give you an amazing night’s sleep. We also use non-polyester thread, recycled wood buttons and recycled elastic in our fitted sheets. Visit our Material Science page more details.
Our suppliers of our raw materials are European, our fibres are turned into fabric in Pakistan and our finished products are all lovingly put together in Portugal. All our suppliers are listed on our product pages for full transparency.

This is a good question with no quick answer. To be clear, we make products that you use and clean, which therefore have an environmental impact. However, we make our products as responsibly as we can to mitigate our impact, by using materials which reduce carbon, water and chemical use. We are careful not to use any oil-based materials like polyester thread and plastic packaging. We use recycled materials where we can. We are also in the process of mapping our footprint in order to offset the carbon we create while doing all we can to reduce this number. What’s more, our products are made to be remade, both easy to recycle and also biodegradable.Visit our sustainably page and find out why we are on this mission.
We make currently make double, king and super-king bedding bundles and standard size pillowcases. Full sizing is available on our product pages.
At the moment, we offer complete bedding bundles and additional pillowcase sets. This means the fitted sheets and duvets are the same size and colour. In the future, we hope to give the ability to mix and match sizes and colours.

This is a personal choice, but you should be comfortable washing our 100% Tencel bedding less than standard cotton or polyester bedding. This is better for you, your bedding and the planet. For more details see our care page.
We guarantee our bedding for at least 5 years (over a thousand sleeps) but if you care for it well, it should last you much longer than that. The colours may naturally fade over time, however, like your favourite band t-shirts from the 1990s, that should make you love them even more.
Yes, we can. Let us know the problem, and we can help you fix it yourself or arrange to have it done for you. Our email for repairs is fixmeup@kuroa.co
Yes please. Our mono-fibre materials are designed to be re-made. Please get in touch, and we will arrange for you to send them to be reused or recycled free of charge.
It is true that, unlike polyester and some mixed fibre products, because our 100% Tencel sheets are botanical (made from natural plant sources) if you put them in landfill or discard them, they will naturally biodegrade. However, it would be even better if you could help us make sure they are reused or recycled. Please let us know when you want to get rid of your bedding, and we will make it easy to make it happen in a more environmentally responsible way.
Kuroa was founded by Mike Stevens in 2022. Mike was previously co-founder and CEO of the good-for-you confectionery company, Peppersmith. Having years of expereince in brands which champion health and sustainblity he is determined to bring those values and energy to the world home textiles. Change is good.
We are on a mission to make sure home textiles are made beautifully, do their job exceptionally well and are responsibly made. We are doing this as currently, most home textiles are poorly made and have a horribly negative impact on both people and planet.
B-corporations are legally committed to being more than a simply for-profit business. They are also held to account to make sure they are well run and have an equal commitment to people and planet in addition to profit (the original triple bottom line). For us to thrive as a society and species we believe this is the best framework to work within.
Kuroa is a Finnish word which means folding or bringing textiles together. We love it because it also means bringing people together and bridging ideas. It is the perfect word to describe our mission.
